One of my favorite leadership quotes is the infamous “Begin With The End In Mind” from Steven Covey. We watch so many YouTube videos while doing our DIY projects, we figured we might as well try it ourselves however, we’re taking the ‘crawl, walk, run‘ approach’ starting with our garden updates. Feel free to hop on over to our page for the ‘Day 12 Update.’ Eventually, we would like to expand it to our DIY and other projects.
What we learned on Day 12:
- Spinach and Kale have a 12 day germination period; if they don’t show by Thursday (I’ll likely give them til Friday), we’ll replant.
- Black-seeded Simpson Lettuce is doing well in the right bed, while Outredgeous Lettuce is doing better in the left bed. The right bed gets more sunlight than the left. Who would have thought?
- The pole beans are starting to attach themselves to the lattice we installed last weekend.
- We have a ‘hot pepper’ bud we think is starting to form though we are not sure.
- The San Marzano Tomato has grown quite a bit, it’s stalk is fairly thin and ‘leggy’ like it’s reaching for sunlight. We’re thinking it should go in the right bed with the more sunlight next time.
